Readers,
thanks for tuning in to read the results of Prism Review's crazy, overnight, poetry-publishing project in celebration of National Poetry Month 2008. We received so many submissions in our 4 hour submissions window and had to say no to many good poems. As our small staff read, we began to see the "Poetry Sleepover" issue take form. Our goal was to reflect a bit of breadth--novice poets and emerging writers alongside well-travelled voices and voices of the supreme. Many thanks, as always, to our Graphic Designer Mathew Digges, who donates his time and talent to our magazine. You can see Mathew's secret life at xSequential Lifex. Thanks, also, to the handful of staff members who read in a tornado over the course of several hours Friday night and Saturday morning: Noor Wahba, Megan Sebestyen, Adriana Serrano, and Cassie Hobbs. You can check out their writing chops on the xPrism Review Blogx. Again, many thanks for your support. Perhaps this First Annual Poetry Sleepover Issue will argue against April being "the cruelest month." Happy Reading!
