half eaten banana
dropped on a path
that has no end
and no name

a tiny dragonfly alights
on a mound of mud
and walks up to the fruit
pauses, as if sniffing
then lifts into flight

infinity
takes a commercial break

a hand reaches down
and picks up the banana.
