About Blackboard
Announcements Page:
Announcements can only be made by the Blackboard administrators. Events
and updates can be viewed there. If you have news that you think should be
posted, then you can contact the administrator by email.
Discussion Board: All
users can post and view topics in this section. This is the best place to
post your work, either as text or attachment, and receive feedback. There
is also a section to post information about literary magazines or other
publications that accept work. Anonymous posts are allowed.
Email: This tool is
not used to create an email account, but allows you to send
e-mails to other members using your existing e-mail address (the one that
you provided while filling out the Blackboard Account Request).
Users have the option of whether or not to display their e-mail address.
Hiding your e-mail address will not prevent other users from
e-mailing you through Blackboard. Members will be able to e-mail you
without viewing your address.
Note: Any information you submit is sent
to a secure location that adheres to all Privacy Act standards and will not
result in you receiving SPAM or otherwise. You have complete control over
the information that other users are able to view.
